Dr. Natalie Harrison

Dr. Natalie A. Harrison is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC Canada. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2018 from the University of Alabama, specializing in child and adolescent forensic psychology. Dr. Harrison completed her clinical internship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, with practicums at Shelby County Juvenile Court, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Her postdoctoral training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center (HUMC) in Torrance, CA in 2019 focused on trauma and risk assessment/safety planning for suicidal behavior. She played a key role in establishing the Integrative Inclusion Diversity Equity Accountability division at HUMC, dedicated to creating a safe and fair environment for diverse clients, students, and clinicians. After her postdoctoral training, Dr. Harrison joined the Safe Harbor Trauma Recovery Center at HUMC, offering trauma-informed training, assessment, consultation, and psychotherapy to crime survivors and their families. She utilizes evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy to deliver efficient and effective treatment to her clients. Dr. Harrison’s extensive experience enables her to work with clients of all ages, addressing various issues like trauma, anxiety, and emotion dysregulation.
